1948 - 1960
In 1948 Agostino Crippa founded the company Crippa. Our founder had a vision toward the future of his country: he was the first businessman who designed tube bending machine, but also other devices that were useful to the postwar rebuilding of houses, factories, plants and infrastructures. Such as the machine called SPINGITUBO that was used to build gas pipelines, or the TITANUS that bent pipes for plants and it was used by plumbers to rebuild plants. Towards the end of the first decade of life, Crippa designed the bending machine that laid the basis for the evolution of our machines: MEDIOLANUM.
AQUILA 1, was created in 1955, it was a manual tube bending machine. It was used in furniture factories. It was able to bend pipes up to 45 mm of diam [...]
BOXER was designed in 1955 to bend nautical pipe lines. It bent pipe up to 16" inch of diameter.
INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF MILAN
1959: International exhibition of Milan.
LET'S START THE MEDIOLANUM TUBE BENDING MACHINE
The ancestor of MEDIOLANUM.
ERCULES was able to bend the tubes for gas pipe lines when they were too big for TITANUS.
The first Mediolanum 1 were built in 1959. It was an hydraulic machine with continuous cycle, with the mechanical programmer for bending angle. It was [...]
1960: the first MEDIOLANUM 2, it bent pipes up to 72 mm of diameter.
MINIBOXER was a manual tube bending machine that bent pipe line up to 112 mm in diameter.
1958: Machine called PIEGABARRE was a tube bending machine with a hydraulic pump. It was mainly used to bend pipe by plumbers.
The machine called “SPINGITUBO” was used on construction sites to install underground gas pipelines.
