The 100HE is a CNC tube bending machine built to bend tubes in mild steel with diameters up to 100 mm. Like other machines in the Heavy series, this downsized version provides high rigidity and high performance. The bending head translates horizontally, ensuring maximum rigidity during heavy processes, while the high vertical excursion allows the machine to maximise the number of bending levels available or to interface with existing tools. The bending head is small enough to allow the machine to complete, in one cycle, complex tube geometries that would normally require double bending directions. The machine is governed by nine controlled axes driven by absolute digital motors with “Full Electric” technology and controlled by a CNC Siemens 840D sl. This technology ensures that the machine produces excellent quality bends, combined with significant savings in energy, reduced set-up/start up time and considerable scrap minimisation.  The “Tangent Boost” device ensures that the tube is thrust axially during the bending process also in the slide/wiper-die area. This allows the machine to optimise the development of the tube and reduce scrap even more. One of the options available is a CNC cutting system. The high production rate, ability to produce bends with CLR/DIA ratio even lower than 0.8 or thrust bends with variable radii make this machine particularly suitable for use in the automotive, aeronautical, plant design and installation, urban decoration and naval sectors. The machine has three-dimensional graphics software on a 19” LCD Touch screen. The operator communicates with the tube bending machine intuitively through the UII “User Iso Interface” software. The UII allows the operator to also program the machine and simulate and optimise bending programs. This machine is designed to be integrated into Smart Factory systems.
