The 1020E is the downsized model of the UP&DOWN series for tubes up 22 mm in diameter and 1.5 mm thick. This CNC tube bending machine has an installed power of 10 kW, and an entirely automatic cycle. The particular cross movement of the head makes it possible to select the work plane, make right or left bends during the cycle, and integrate loading and unloading in the process. The cross shape makes it possible to automatically create even the most complex tube geometries - which generally require post-processing operations - without manual intervention by the operator.
The clamp is synchronised with the pressure-die on the machine to open upper and lower work planes simultaneously.
Like the other models in the UP&DOWN series, the 1020E can have multiple work planes (at least 6). This guarantees a high vertical excursion, which makes it possible to simultaneously use multiple tools with different radii and clamping.
All movements of the machine’s axes are on recirculation guides which do not require lubrication and cause less wear compared to traditional guides. In addition, the clamp and pressure-die are controlled by high-load sphere recirculation screws.
The 10 controlled axes that govern the movements of the 1020E are driven by digital motors with Full Electric technology and controlled by a CNC Siemens 840D sl. Using this technology ensures high quality, energy savings, reduced set-up/start up time and minimal scrap.
Energy savings and maximum efficiency are also guaranteed by the pneumatic balancing, which makes it possible to install a motor that is smaller, but with higher performance levels.
The high production rate, the capacity for use with a vast range of accessories for specific unusual jobs, ability to produce bends with a CLR/DIA ratio lower than 0.8 or thrust bends with variable radius make this machine suitable for use in sectors that require high production rates and high precision. Furthermore, this tube bending machine can also be integrated into work cells.
This model is equipped with a three-dimensional graphical software on a 19” LCD Touch screen, from which the operator can interact intuitively with the machine. The UII (“User Iso Interface”) facilitates programming, making it possible to simulate and optimise the bending programs.
The 1020E is designed to be integrated into Smart Factory systems.
