Designed for complex processes

A particular conformation allows the tube bender 1032E to simultaneously use several tools with different radii and clamps, with tube loading and unloaded integrated into the head movements.

The 1032E is a CNC tube bending machine - with fully automatic cycle - from the UP&DOWN series for pipes up to a diameter of 32 millimetres and a thickness of 2.5 millimetres, with an installed power of 18kW. The main feature of this machine is the cross movement of the head, which makes it possible to process, entirely automatically, even the most complex pipe geometries - which generally require restarting operations - without manual intervention by the operator, thus guaranteeing advantages in terms of both productivity and precision. The cross makes it possible to overcome dimension-related problems, owing to the geometry of the pipe or of the machine. Furthermore, it makes it possible to select the work plane, to make right or left bends, and to integrate the loading and offloading cycle. The clamp and contrasting element are asynchronous: when the upper work plane moves forward, the lower one moves back, and vice versa. The 1032E, like the other models in the UP&DOWN series, is a multi-radius and multi-plane machine (it is fitted with at least 6 work planes). Thanks to its high vertical stroke, it can simultaneously use multiple tools with different radii and locks. Using sphere and roller recirculation guides for moving the axes, and high-load sphere recirculation screws that control the clamp and contrasting element movements, reduces wear and tear on the 1032E, improving performance. The efficiency of this machine is also guaranteed by the dynamic positioning carriage, which makes it possible to limit damage in case of accidental collisions with the components. The 10 controlled axes that govern the machine’s movements are driven by digital motors with “Full Electric” technology and controlled a CNC Siemens 840D sl. Using this technology ensures high quality, energy savings, reduced set-up/start up time and minimal process waste. Pneumatic balancing allows further energy savings and performance gains, because it allows the machine to use a motor that is smaller but more powerful. The high production rate, the capacity for use with a vast range of accessories for specific unusual jobs, ability to produce bends with an RM/Ø ratio even lower than 0.8 or thrust bends with variable radius, in addition to being equipped for integration in work cells, make this tube bender extremely versatile and suitable for a variety of applications. Like all machines in the UP&DOWN series, the 1032E is equipped with a three-dimensional graphic software on a 19” LCD Touch screen, from which the operator can interact intuitively with the machine. The UII (“User Iso Interface”) facilitates programming, making it possible to simulate and optimise the bending programs. The 1032E is designed to be integrated into Smart Factory systems.
