The 1042E is a CNC tube bending machine from the UP&DOWN series for tubes up 42 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick, with 20kW installed power.
The strength of this machine is the cross movement of the head. Only one cycle is required to make tube geometries that normally need post-processing operations, guaranteeing precision and increased productivity of the tube bending machine.
The cross moves above, below, and to the right and left of the tube, overcoming problems concerning the dimensions of the machine and of the processed piece, and making it possible to quickly change work plane. It also makes right and left bends, and integrates loading and unloading into the cycle.
The clamp and pressure-die are asynchronous: when the upper plane moves forward, the lower one moves back, and vice versa.
The 1042E, like the other models in the UP&DOWN series, is a multistack tube bending machine (with at least 6 work planes). Its high vertical excursion makes it possible to simultaneously use multiple tools with different radii and clamping.
All movements of the machine are on roller or sphere recirculation guides which do not require lubrication and cause less wear compared to traditional guides. Efficiency is also guaranteed by high-load sphere recirculation screws, which control the movements of the clamp and pressure-die.
The machine’s efficiency is guaranteed by the dynamic plane positioner, which limits damage in case of accidental collisions with components, and by the possibility of directing the position of the motor for the slides, thus avoiding collisions.
The 10 controlled axes that govern the machine’s movements are driven by digital motors with “Full Electric” technology and controlled by a CNC Siemens 840D sl. Using this technology ensures high quality, energy savings, reduced set-up/start up time and minimal scrap.
Energy savings and maximum productive efficiency are also guaranteed by pneumatic balancing, which makes it possible to use a motor that is smaller, but with higher performance levels.
The high production rate, the capacity for use with a vast range of accessories for specific unusual jobs, ability to produce bends with a CLR/DIA ratio lower than 0.8 or thrust bends with variable radius make this machine particularly suitable for use in sectors where efficiency and productivity are prime requirements. This tube bender is also equipped for integration in automated work cells.
This model has three-dimensional graphical software on a 19” LCD Touch screen, from which the operator can interact intuitively with the machine. The UII (“User Iso Interface”) facilitates programming, making it possible to simulate and optimise the bending programs.
The 1042E is designed to be integrated into Smart Factory systems.
