The 980HE is a CNC tube bending machine with completely automatic cycle built following specific patented concepts that convey high level rigidity and improved performance with respect to machines of similar sizes on the market. The innovative structure of the horizontal translation bending head guarantees maximum rigidity during heavy processes. The CNC pantograph gives the machine high vertical excursion, which means that it can integrate or interface multiple work planes, and still safeguard the load ergonomics. Thanks to these features, one cycle of the 980HE can complete complex geometries that normally require post-processing cycles, with considerable advantages in precision and in productivity. Nine axes controlled by absolute digital motors with Full Electric technology govern the machine’s movements, which are managed by a CNC Siemens 840D sl. With the “Tangent Boost” device, the machine can push axially on the tube during bending also in the slide/wiper-die area, optimising the tube development even more. One of the options available is a CNC cutting system. The high production rate, the capacity for use with a vast range of accessories for specific and unusual jobs, the ability to produce bends with CLR/DIA ratio even lower than 0.8, or thrust bends with variable radius, make this machine suitable for use in the automotive, aeronautical, plant design and installation, urban decoration and naval sectors. Through a three-dimensional graphics software on a 19” LCD touch screen UII “User ISO Interface”, the operator can interact intuitively with the machine to program, simulate and optimise the tube bending programs. This machine is designed to be integrated into Smart Factory systems.
