Technology moves on

The configuration of Concept80 ensures a quick and ergonomic set-up suitable also for insertion in automated cells thanks to the Siemens 840D sl numerical control and the 19 "touch screen control panel.

The Concept80 is Crippa’s answer to the needs of exhaust tube sector: it offers an innovative solution based on the patented concept of a tool change integrated into the process. This machine has a tool change column with 4 positions and can work with both manual and automatic loading. The column makes it possible to process complex tubes as if they had single plane bends and this simplifies both the production of the equipment and process simulation. Equipment parts can be reused and combined with other new parts to produce different product codes with obvious advantages in terms of cost. The double blade electrical cutting device coupled with the tool change column makes it possible to cut on straight and contoured clamp dies during the same process and this makes it possible to produce pieces that do not need trimming after leaving the machine. The cutting unit is set up so that the position of the blade can be adjusted easily relative to the axis of curvature. The configuration of the CONCEPT80 permits a rapid ergonomic set-up which is also suitable for placing the machine in automated cells. The machine is controlled by a Siemens 840D sl with control panel on a 19” Touch screen.  Programming is done using simplified UII interface software. The CONCEPT80 can be set up with numerous optional accessories and can be connected to the Crippa I4.0 production control and performance systems.
